The Public Service Commission (PSC) has issued a clarification on reports hiring Jacque Maribe as the head of communication in the Ministry of Public Service.

In a statement issued on Thursday, March 14, 2024, PSC clarified that it had no hand in Maribe’s new role at the Ministry of Public Service.

"For the record, the said position will be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise," the statement attributed to Commission chair Anthony Muchiri reads.

“Kuria is quoted to have said that "it is true except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission,” it adds.

For the past few days, Maribe’s name has been in the headlines after reports of her landing a new job surfaced online.

Since then, she has been seen accompanying CS Moses Kuria to several events related to the Ministry of Public Service.

Just the other day, she attended the launch of e-filling in all courts countrywide at the Supreme Court of Kenya on March 11, 2024.

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi congratulated her on the new role.

"Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve Asante @HonMoses_Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand,” Itumbi said.
