The Kenyans comedy industry is currently mourning the death of MC and comic Fred Omondi, Eric Omondi's younger brother.

Fred tragically died in a road accident on Kangundo Road on Saturday, June 15th, in the morning.

The accident occurred around 6 am near Caltex Petrol station on Kangundo Road.

A police report from Buruburu station indicated that the accident involved a bodaboda carrying Fred colliding head-on with a speeding bus.

The bus was traveling from Kayole to Nairobi CBD, while the bodaboda was on the wrong side of the road.

Fred passed away at the scene, and his body was taken to the morgue at Mama Lucy Hospital.

Burial arrangements are currently underway.

Fred's untimely death adds to a tragic list of comedians who passed away during the height of their careers.
