Jacob Ng'etich appointed new Communication boss replacing Salim Swaleh in Mudavadi's office

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has picked Jacob Ng'etich, as his new Director of Press Service replacing Salim Swaleh.

According to Insiders, Ng'etich is coming in with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in news reporting and political analysis.

Insiders said Ng’etich reported to his new station last week and has been sharing press releases from the office.

Before his appointment, Ng'etich served as a journalist at Nation Media and for 11 years at the Standard group.

He will be in charge of communications at Mudavadi's executive office and his role as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

His responsibilities will also include managing media relations, preparing communication materials and maintaining brand integrity across all platforms.

When reached for comment, Ng'etich confirmed he had indeed left the Standard Group and was currently working in the office of the Prime CS.

Mudavadi's role is to assist President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua in the coordination and supervision of Government Ministries and State Departments as well as being in charge of the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs docket.

He also Chairs and coordinates the National Government legislative agenda across all ministries and state departments in consultation with and for transmission to the Coalition Leaders in Parliament.

Among other duties, Mudavadi also chairs the Principal Secretaries Committees supervises the technical monitoring and evaluation of Government policies, programs and projects and performs any other function as may be assigned by the President.
