Former Miss Tanzania Wema Sepetu says she once thought of committing suicide. Speaking on the 'Trendy Show' the actress says fame has been a bitter-sweet experience to her.
Wema says the very first time she made headlines over the wrong reasons, she locked herself in the house for days.
The beauty queen added that since getting into fame in 2006, she is yet to totally get used to making headlines as every scandal always breaks her.
Asked whether she ever thought of taking her life, Sepetu said,
"Yes, I have ever thought of that. My mum has been my support system, my pillar. She has been the one giving me the strength to keep going. She believes so much in me and loves me".
Sepetu credits her mother for being her emotional backbone.
"When I got to the point of thinking of committing suicide, I had to go to my mum's place and stayed there for three months to just start afresh.
"My mum was there the whole time and she didn't even sleep. When I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, she would sit up and wait for me."
Sepetu is currently making headlines with the drama series 'Karma'.
