Tanzanian singer Zuchu said she was paid a whooping eight million Tanzanian shillings ( approximately Ksh 413,000) in her very first show.

"I was singing at a wedding reception. I was paid Tsh 8 million (Ksh 413,000). I was also gifted by the attendees about Tsh 3 million (Ksh 154,000) . I used that money very badly. I didn't have money management. I was confused."

When she was starting, she did not know a lot about money management.

"I my second show, I was paid about Tsh 7 million (Ksh 361,000)  . From then, other shows came up and Youtube also started paying."

Real name Zuhura Othman Soud, Zuchu came into the limelight in 2020 after being signed by Diamond Platnumz owned record label WCB.

The same year, she released her debut EP 'I Am Zuchu.' She's known for hits like 'Sukari' 'Nyumba Ndogo' 'Mtasubiri' 'Wana' 'Nobody' 'Number One' among many others.

In the recent past, she's made headlines after being linked in a romantic relationship with her label boss. The two have flaunted each other on social media and their stage performances show there's more to their relationship than business.

They are yet to confirm nor deny the rumours of their dating.
