Njambi Koikai aka Jahmby Koikai will be laid to rest on Friday 14th June 2024 at the Lang'ata cemetery.

Njambi died on June 3rd while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with endometriosis.

Her father explained the reason the reggae enthusiast would be buried at the Lang'ata cemetery.

 

“The memorial service will be on Thursday, and more details will come before the burial on Friday at Lang’ata Cemetery. She will be buried there because her grandmother is buried there, and the family wanted her to be laid to rest close to her.”

Njambi's sister had written a heartfelt message to her while announcing the passing of the media personality.

"It is the deepest heartbreak of my life to write about the passing of my dearest sister, Njambi. There are no words that are sufficient to describe the impact of her great loss in my life. Njambi was my rock, my pillar of support, my biggest cheer leader, my protector, and above all my best friend. Her presence could light up any room, and she touched countless lives with her resilience, her unwavering fight for a just and equal society, and her passionate advocacy for women’s health. She is no longer with us, but her spirit will live on, forever. Jambs, I will love you always. Being your sister has been the greatest gift of my life.On behalf of my family, thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and the overwhelming support you have shown to Njambi. We will provide updates about Njambi’s send-off in due course."
