Who said celebrity life was all flashy and colorful? Well, sexy singers Muthoni The Drummer Queen and Mayonde have revealed that 2016 was a tough year. Just in case you thought these two beauty queens have always had it easy, you're wrong.

In an exclusive studio interview with our gorgeous presenters Adelle Onyango and Shaffie Weru on Breakfast with the stars show, the two lovely lasses exclusively released their new jam 'Kama Kawaida'. The popular morning presenters sought to know from the girls what some of the lessons learnt last year.

Muthoni The Drummer Queen, aka MDQ, revealed that 2016 was a spiritual year where she learnt to take everything slow and not overdo things. This Kenyan Femcee, who is well known for her Nai Ni Ya Nani hit song, was widely recognized during the last episode of Tusker Project Fame (TPF) 2013, which saw her get a massive following in the rap industry. Evidently her name goes hand in hand with her character!

Mayonde, on the other hand cited that her lessons were living in the moment and going with the flow on a daily basis. Diana Nduba (Mayonde), the songstress to the famous Isikuti Love song focuses on Jazz, RnB and Soul music. Mayonde came into the limelight when she took up a big role as one of the three back-up singers in the Coke Studio Africa musical show with fellow singers, Trina Mungai and Ivlyn Mutua.

Well, Mayonde who is also an actress starred in the Kenyan drama series Groove theory which saw her rise to fame. Together with music heavy weights MDQ, Fena Gitu and Kagwe Mungai, Mayonde has released a new song dubbed kama Kawaida which is evidently catching the radio airwaves by storm.
