Rihanna marked her comeback on “Lift Me Up,” created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
The highly anticipated new single is a powerful tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman; who lost his life to colon cancer.
Listeners were especially impressed by the singer's vocal ability, with words like magnificent, beautiful, and dreamy being used to describe the song.

Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tems co-wrote the song alongside Rihanna, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.
“Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor,” Tems said.
Following the song release and its reception, her mentor and Roc-Nation boss Jay-Z showed the vocalist some love and claimed that, "Rihanna is a generational talent."
