Self-proclaimed President of comedy Eric Omondi is back at it again, criticizing Kenyan musicians while giving backhanded compliments.
Taking to his Instagram page the comedian shared a video of the crowd that showed up for Nyashinski's Eldoret concert dubbed Shin City which was held on Saturday and how electric both his performance and the crowd were.
He went on to praise the veteran artist for pulling such an amazing crowd outside the norm that is Nairobi city.
"This is what I've been talking about🔥🔥🔥" the comedian stated.
He went on to add that at this point Nyashinski is the only Kenyan artist that can be used to gauge the quality of music and performances.
"This was done "PROPERLY" sasa hii ndio itakua KEBS na Standard ya Quality for all Musicians.
Congratulations @realshinski" Wrote Eric.
Eric could not pass the opportunity to take a jab at other artists.
"Sio wale wa kuenda kufanya Concert kwa "Tusker Project fame" ile ya OctoberFest alafu wananiongelesha.
No Musician has the right to address me until and Unless they do one like this one!!!
For now, only Nyashinski can talk to me," declared Eric.
He finished off by asking the rest of the Kenyan artists to go back to the drawing board as they had a lot to learn. Highlighting that he was now waiting on Sauti Sol's much-anticipated concert Sol Fest to see how it will go.
"The Rest go back to Class. Tunangoja Sol Fest sasa. (we are now waiting to see how Sol Fest goes)" finished off Eric Omondi.
His sentiments come in just a day after Sauti Sol's Bien announced that Eric was banned from attending Sol Fest.
In his statement, Bien announced that they have already instructed their security team not to allow Eric into the venue of their annual concert.
“Eric, your big mouth has gotten you here! Don't blame the musicians. Nobody wants to see you at Sol Fest so please stay away!!! .
The @solfestafrica security team has this morning received strict instructions NOT to allow this crazy fellow and his borrowed dogs anywhere near 500 metres of the concert venue! Bien revealed.
