Comedian come politician Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalangó on Thursday was blocked from accessing the Azimio la Umoja Parliamentary Group (PG) in Machakos.

The MP was blocked from entering the meeting by a group of men. Watch the video below;

This is after a section of Azimio MPs visited President William Ruto at the State House in Nairobi.

Jalang'o was among the MPs who went to the State House on Tuesday. He received backlash from fellow Azimio leaders.

This move comes despite the former Kiss FM presenter reiterating his support for Raila Odinga yesterday.

In an interview with Spice FM, the first-term MP said that he had been part of the Azimio rallies and will continue mobilising crowds for the upcoming rallies beginning including one in Machakos county this weekend.

"I will be there because now that is politics. We have to learn how to differentiate politics and development," he said.

He also explained that he went to see the Head of State following an invite from State House after the interviewer asked.

"What if for political reasons the president who holds the key to these development says okay guys don't go there (Azimio rallies)?"

In response, Jalang'o said:

"I'm also waiting for one statement from Baba again that will also give me direction that whether it's development or not, don't go there."

Despite his support for the former Prime Minister, Jalang'o shared that he would have still gone had Raila forbidden it.

"I would still ask what's the agenda, and if it still stands as development, I would still go because the people of Lang'ata do not care who is president or who is not, what they care for is the delivery," he said.

With the current mobilisation mood that Azimio has been in, one wonders how the charismatic Jalang'o will be able to get himself out of this situation.
