Following media personality Stephen Letoo extending an invite to the much anticipated 2023 Men's Conference to Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino the MP has responded.
Babu is willing to grace the event but under one condition, he gets to tag his wife along. Something that Letoo over time has been against and has made it clear that no lady under any condition will be allowed inside the conference hall.
Is this a power play from Babu?
The member of parliament has responded to Letoo, who doubles as the chairman of the Men’s Conference, citing reasons as to why he needs his wife with him.
Babu shared the response on his Twitter account where he publicly acknowledged the invite where he shared a copy of the invite and gave his conditions for the event being held today at the Carnivore Grounds from 2 pm to 6 pm.
“Stephen Letoo for chairman Men’s Conference. Officially invited but I want to carry my wife as both my Personal Assistant(PA) and Bed Assistant(BA).” Babu's tweet read.
Babu is married to his University sweetheart and the two have two kids together.
Since starting the campaign Letoo has insisted that no women will be allowed to the conference even if they come with their men.

“Daughters of Mary, I mean ladies, who will be escorting their men to attend (the conference) will not be allowed into the session." the journalist said 4 days ago standing his ground on having females in the conference hall with the men.
He went on to add that they could however hang around the premise if they wished to and went on to assure them that there will be some gifts for them after the men are done with their session.
"However, there shall be special treatment for them. After the event, there shall also be a couple’s dinner. Women around will be given flowers and chocolate,” the journalist clarified.
In a bid to have more men sign up and attend the conference, he revealed that those who will attend the conference at the Carnivore grounds, Nairobi, will be offered sumptuous meals.
A few days ago Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, revealed that he is among the guest speakers for the event.
