Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has finally divulged how he was defrauded of 11 million.

In an interview published on Tuesday, May 30, the lawmaker recounted that he earned money from his investment in agriculture.

That was after he changed his venture, moving from matatu business to wheat farming in Narok County.

According to the MP, his abundant wheat harvest earned him Ksh11 million.

However, Sudi said that he lost all the money in a fraudulent scheme that he did not go into further.

"After upgrading and stopping the pool table business, I sold my matatu because it was a fake business and then ventured into land brokerage.

After that, I went to Narok where I started wheat farming. I collected Ksh11 million, but I was cheated of all that money," Sudi narrated.

The MP for Kapsaret blamed the incident on greed. "I don't blame those who cheated me, I blame myself because of greed," Sudi said.

Following the loss, Sudi advised Kenyan youth to prioritize wealth and self-employment using their mobile phones.

He lamented that many young people have indulged in cyberbullying at the expense of creating networks related to building wealth.

Sudi revealed that he ventured into business while in primary school, combining studies and earning money.

His businesses include selling fruits and other snacks to school-going children.

"I started working when I turned 15. That doesn't mean I didn't go to school. That was because of poverty and we were squatters.

I started my first business when I was in Primary School, I was selling fruit during recess.

During lunch break, I was buying scones and sweets from my friend at Moi University and sell them to the students," Sudi recounted.

"Every weekend I used to visit a place called Laini Moja where charcoal burners were working, where I could collect leftover charcoal. I made sure that I collect one and a half sacks on Saturday and Sunday," he added.

Sudi continued to step up until he became a famous person, he gave up his business selling charcoal.

The charcoal business helped him build new relationships when he started farming.

As a result of learning, Sudi earned Ksh100,000 after one successful farming season. He reinvested the money in an oil business that his friend did.

He also changed his investment by buying pool tables which he claimed earned him between Ksh1,200 to Ksh2,000 per day.
