Racheal Ruto visits Butere Girls.

First Lady Rachel Ruto on Friday made a surprise visit to her former school Butere Girls High School.

Mama Rachel said it was refreshing to see the student's dedication and enthusiasm for learning.

"During my visit, I encouraged the girls to stay focused on their studies and work hard to achieve their goals," she said.

"Education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities, and I wanted to instill in them the belief that their dreams are valid."

She said children are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of society.

Mama Rachel added that by supporting their academic aspirations, they get empowered to create a better world for themselves and others.

"I am grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to interact with the students. I encourage each and every one of you to remember where you came from. Go back to your schools and communities and give back," she said.

This is not the first time that Mama Rachel has visited her former High school.

In 2017, Rachel Ruto attended the Alumni Weekend Mentorship.

She caused a stir online when she was spotted donning the school's full uniform from head to toe.
