I'll never forget my roots- American-based Kenyan artist Kaycyy Pluto promises

Grammy award-winning US-based Kenyan artist Mark Makora Mbogo popularly known as Kaycyy Pluto is sending a message of love and gratitude to his Kenyan fans.

On his Instagram stories, Kaycyy shared how his love is still deep rooted in Kenya adding that all the hard work he puts in his craft is all for the motherland... to propel Kenya's flag and make his countrymen proud.

"Nataka tu waKenya wangu wajue at the end of the day all I'm doing, this music all this I'm doing it for them," started off the award-winning artist

He went on to add that even though he'd found fame and recognition in the States he was still true to his roots and Kenya will always proudly be his home.

Kaycyy went on to highlight how whenever he bumps into people and they ask him where he comes from his first reply is to praise his motherland. 

"Watu wakiniukiza nimetoka wapi like wakiuliza nimetoka Kenya au nimetoka Minnesota namemanga Kenya kwanza. 

Sitawahi sahau mahali nimetoka ," said the American based Kenyan artist.

The statement loosely translates to 

"When people ask me where I come from there is always the option of saying Minnesota first but I always say Kenya. I come from Kenya but live in Minnesota.

I'll never forget my roots/where I come from,"

He finished off by sending love and appreciation to his Kenyan fans while announcing that he had a new album coming up.

"Asanti sana kwa kila kitu mnanifanyianga, (thank you so much for all that you do for me) I love you all. Kenya to the world!" The last of his statement read.

Kaycyy took Hollywood by storm ever since his breakthrough. 

He has worked with some of the finest artists such as Kanye West (on the Donda album), Chloe Bailey and just recently he got featured in Travis Scott's new album 'Utopia'

The young man has also received accolades from big wigs in the industry such as Nicki Minaj who has praised Kaycyy's penmanship and lyrical flow.
