Over the weekend, popular Kenyan content producer Kelvin Kinuthia faced sensitive questions about his gender and his sexual preferences.

A curious fan wrote him a message on Instagram asking him to clarify if he is gay, probably due to his style of wearing feminine clothes.

"Are you gay," the fan asked. In his answers, the entertainer did not say 'yes' or 'no' but noted that the question was already out of date.

"This one is still asking. Heehh, this one is like in the era of early man. This question is out of date," Kinuthia replied jokingly.

Another fan wanted to know if she is bisexual or if she dresses as a woman just to maintain her brand.

"Now what is intersex," Kinuthia answered. It is not the first time that Kenyans have questioned Kinuthia's gender and her choice of love, people have been asking a lot of questions since the TikToker became famous in 2021.

She rose to fame about two years ago when rumors emerged that she cheated on another man after pretending to be a woman and later ate the fare of Ksh344k allegedly sent to him.

Last year, the 22-year-old content producer came out as male. During an interview with Mungai Eve, she said that playing female characters in her videos is just for fun and work.

Kinuthia noted that he has never denied his male gender. However, he made it clear that he is not ready to stop acting as a woman because that is his livelihood.

"I'm a man. But I said I can't stop doing the things I'm doing because people have interfered with me saying I'm doing that and I'm a man. That's what has brought me to where I am," Kinuthia said.

She claimed that the female role that she plays has made her get jobs doing ads for women's clothing and cosmetics.

"There is no such thing as I will start changing the character. Even people will leave. There are people who are already used to the way Kinuthia is. There is no place where I have ever said that I am not a man. It is work and that is what has brought me to where I am," he said.

In another interview, he hinted that he plans to have his family in the near future.

However, he noted that he is not looking to venture into marriage soon but after about 10 years.

"Not this hour, maybe when I'm 30 years old when we're done with life. This hour is to beat life and find money," he said.

In the past, Kinuthia's mother once said that she would be very happy when her son would send her daughter-in-law.
