Gospel artist turned preacher Linet Munyali popularly known Size 8 is revisiting her olden days when she used to be a cleaner for the studio where she recorded her music.

According to the mother of 2 she used to earn less than Sh.10,000 per month for her services but she had no issue with that as it catered for her commute to the studio and a few other necessities.

Speaking during an interview with former Kiss FM morning show presenter Oga Obinna on his YouTube, the former secular artist reminisced over her past life noting that her job as a cleaner helped her rise to fame.

In the hilarious one on one with the father of 5 Linet recounted how her ambition to be a musician is what pushed her to look for a job and she did not discriminate the cleaning opportunity when it fell on her laps.

"I used to work in Calif Records. I was the cleaner there," Size 8 candidly told Obinna who couldn't hide his surprise.

The 36-year-old 'Pale Pale' hit maker went on to give Calif Records' music producer Clemo his flowers noting that he helped put her on the path to stardom.

"I noticed that Clemo used to help people a lot. He used to give money to people. Clemo has a father's heart, so he used to help upcoming artists that he signed, and there were many. So I told him, 'I don't want you to strain. Give me a job here at Calif Studios, and then the salary you'll pay is what I'll use as fare to come to the studio," the mother of 2 recounted.

She went on to detail her job highlighting for Obinna all she used to do at the studio.

"I told him I'd be cleaning, washing, cooking, making sure everything was in order in the studio, helping out with the paperwork... and then he used to pay me Sh.6000 a month. So at least I'd get my fare from there,"

On what she used to do with the money since 6k was a lot of money back then, Size 8 revealed even though she still lived in her parents house she used to pay rent for them.

"The rental house we lived in cost Sh.7500...my parents' house. I started paying my father's rent when I was quite young.

My sisters and I used to contribute and pay the rent. So when I would earn my Sh.6000, I would give Sh.3000 for rent, and then my sisters would top up the rest. The remaining Sh. 3000, I'd use for fare and then used to eat bhajias worth Sh 10 at lunchtime," the gospel artist heartily recalled.
