Trending Kalenjin artist Millicent Jerotich also known as Marakwet Daughter has revealed that after her newfound fame, with her church begging her to come back.

Jerotich blew up after her song dubbed 'Mali Safi Chito' went viral across different social media platforms.

Speaking during an interview with former Kiss FM presenter Oga Obinna, Jerotich revealed that she had sadly abandoned church due to all the earthly trials and tribulations that she was going through.

 
 
 
 

According to the young gospel artist, she struggled with rent and at times even a meal to fuel her too. She opened up on how she'd sometimes go a day without eating.

She has revealed that fans, the church congregation, and people around her are determined to make sure her suffering ends.

"Premio, come baby come. I want to go back to church, My life has changed because for starters I have never dressed up like this. It's because of the favour from fans and their love.

 
 
 

As we talk, this phone has money over Sh 300,000. They are planning to buy me a car before New Year's Eve so that I can go back to church. They have contributed. They want me to buy that car and go back to church."

 

Finishing up she emphasized that everyone was working really hard to ensure that she came back to church.

She revealed that an establishment had sent her a large sum of money towards the fundraising of her vehicle's money.

"The point is for me to go back to church. The owners of the Rock Hotel in Eldoret called me recently on Friday night and paid for my taxi. They also gave me Sh 80,000 and told me to buy the car that I wanted and go back to church."

On why she had chosen to settle for a car and not a house or piece of land considering she had nowhere to stay, Marakwet Daughter said she was focused on elevating her career. 

"I picked a car because I want to access events fast. More prayers, kindly, I want that car soon before New Year," the artist revealed.
