Popular Kenyan comedian Vincent Mwasia Mutua aka Chipukeezy has revealed that he and the slain socialite, Starlet Wahu were friends.

While sharing a conversation with Mwafreeka on the 'Iko Nini' podcast, the former Churchill Show comedian revealed that he got to know Wahu after meeting through social media.

He talked about how the 26-year-old beauty helped him reach her brother, Prophet Victor Kanyari, and arrange an interview with him.

"The saddest thing is that I know that girl. She introduced me to Kanyari. There is an interview I did with Kanyari on my channel," Chipukeezy said.

The comedian went on to reveal how he sought out the late Wahu first, hinting that he was romantically interested when he took the initiative to contact her.

"I remember one time Kanyari sounded like he was listening to an entertaining dance coming out of a place in Machakos as the girl was recording him. I sent him a message and told him I could find the main thing. I'm not sure if it was Kanyari I was looking for or if it was her. I went into the DM and told her I want to interview Kanyari," he said.

“Ilikuwa nikimkosa Kanyari, sitakosa dada yake. Alikuwa wa usaidizi sana, alinipatia namba ya Kanyari. Kanyari akakuja nyumbani, kipindi cha pili cha Chipukeezy TV, nilimhoji Kanyari. (If I missed Kanyari, I would not miss her sister. She was very helpful, she gave me Kanyari's number. Kanyari came home, the second episode of Chipukeezy TV, I interviewed Kanyari)"

Chipukeezy revealed that he continued to communicate with Kanyari's late sister even after the interview.

"We continued to talk once but life took a different course and I started seeing her on social networks," he said.

The famous comedian said that Wahu's death shocked him, explaining that the killing was brutal and she did not deserve to die.
