American digital content creator and entrepreneur James Stephen " Jimmy" Donaldson better known by his online alias, Mr. Beast has caused a social media frenzy after promising to gift 10 random individuals $25,000 each.
That is 4 million shillings guys! Sh. 4,063,000 to be exact for just reposting a tweet.
"I'm going to give 10 random people that repost this and follow me $25,000 for fun, " started the 25-year-old YouTuber.
Mr. Beast went on to add that the money he was giving away is part of the $250,000 that his video on X (formerly Twitter) had made him. So it is kind of a giving back to the community type of thing.
Finishing up, the digital content creator noted he would be picking winners of the giveaway in 3 days.
"The $250,000 my X video made. I will pick the winners in 72 hours," the last of his post read.
His post has accumulated over 1.1 million likes, over 2.2 million reposts, and over 212k comments since it was posted less than 24 hours ago and there are still over 50 hours to go.
Really looking forward to how Mr. Beast and his team pick winners from this.
Netizens have been busy camped under the post trying their luck with most opting to make deals with other competitors to increase their luck. Probably under the notion that Mr. Beast will pick the tweet with the most traction (likes, comments or retweets.)
One of the biggest tactics online users are using is promising to give off part of the money (should they win) to those who aided them by liking their post and sharing it as well.
It is crazy mayhem on the X streets. The YouTuber who has over 26.8 million followers on X has been completely mum since posting the giveaway a little over 10 hours ago.
