Sensational Jamaican dancehall artist Shenseea's has explained why her Kenyan concert was rescheduled.

The original concert was scheduled to happen on 26th August 2023 at Uhuru Gardens.

It was however postponed to a later date in October but it still never happened.

The artist now says she was advised to postpone the event due to safety concerns.

She addressed the issue  in  an Instagram story replying to a  Kenyan fan who said "We paid for your concert in Kenya and till date we've never seen you."


"So I was booked for Kenya and due to safety concerns that were brought to my attention . I was told it was best to reschedule ."She replied.

Shenseea added that she had refunded her deposit and she can't wait to perform in Kenya thanking her fans for understanding her situation.

"I chose to refund my deposit than hold on to it without a date being set .The promoters assured me that all the monies would  be refunded to patrons as well. I look forward to performing in Kenya soon! Thank you to my supporters for understanding! She wrote.

On 21 August 2023 the Sababisha festival shared  on their Instagram that the concert had been postponed causing a lot of disappointment among fans who had highly anticipated the concert.

Later on those who had bought the tickets were refunded their money.

Chinsea Linda Lee alias Shenseea is , is a Jamaican  songwriter who creates music along the lines of dancehall and pop.

She gained recognition after remixing the well-known Vybz Kartel's song "Loodi" and performing on a side stage at Reggae Sumfest in 2015.

She is  recognized for  some of her hit songs like  Blessed with Tyga (2019) ,Lighter with Tarrus Riley (2020) and Good Comfort (2020).

She is best known for her guest appearance  alongside  Roddy Ricch  on  Kanye  West's  2021 song "Pure Souls," which entered the Billboard Hot 100.

Through its parent album Donda, she received a Grammy Award nomination Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards

Alongside her singing career, she holds multiple corporate sponsorship deals with companies such as Telecom, Firm Flow, Boom and a Pepsi-Cola JA sponsorship. 

Shenseea has a son Rajeiro Lee and lives in the United States where she moved in 2020.
