A video of American rapper and actress Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, popularly known by her entertainment moniker, Card B calling for relationships to be 50/50 has excited netizens.

In the said video undated video, posted by an X user identified as Kameron Bennet, the 31-year-old 'Bodak Yellow hitmaker could be heard sharing tidbits of advice.

She asked women to stop being sucked by ideologies spreading on social media and accept that relationships ought to be 50/50.

The Grammy Award-winning artist, who has had a rocky on-and-off relationship clouded with infidelity with former Migos band member Offset argued that monetary responsibilities for the house should not be left sorely in the hands of a man.

Cardi emphasized that if the house was a double-income house then the couple ought to both chip in to have their finances and priorities well organized.

"If you and your man make the same amount of money but only he pays all the bills, how are you going to save up for a house or a business?

Because he isn't going to afford it. Some things need you guys to work together," stated the mother of 2.

She went on to add that people who did not conform to that reality were living in a delusional sort of utopian world.

The 'Bongos' hitmaker went on to remind folks that they grew up in homesteads where parents helped each other highlighting it is now ironic to act as if a woman chipping in to help is an abomination.

"People are out of touch with reality. Your parents worked and helped each other; you're acting like that never happened. If we want to grow, let's go half and half; it's not a one-way street. I'm old school," Cardi animatedly said as the video came to an end.

Do you agree with her sentiments or are men sorely meant to be providers?
