Socialite Zari Hassan has opened up about how her marriage has seen improvements and significant changes since she and her husband embarked on a journey to Saudi Arabia for the Umrah pilgrimage.

Umrah is a religious ritual in Islam that involves entering a state of Ihram, circumambulating the Kaaba, running between the hills of Safa and Marwa, and shaving the head or trimming the hair.

Earlier this month, Zari and her husband Shakib traveled to Saudi Arabia after a break in their marriage.

After returning quietly, the online sensation appeared in Tanzania alongside her husband during the launch of the Softcare brand.

Although she refused to speak to journalists about her trip with her husband to Saudi Arabia, the mother of five hinted that there have been significant changes in her marriage with Shakib, unlike before they went for Umrah.

"You know, my husband and I went for Umrah, and it was a very good trip, it was one of those life-changing experiences, and generally our lives are now completely different," Zari said.

In a previous interview with Millard Ayo, Zari admitted that things were very bad in her marriage after Shakib packed up and left due to a video of her with the father of her children, Diamond Platnumz.

Zari regretted not informing Shakib in advance about the video, insisting that it was just one of many commercial endorsements and not a return to a relationship with Diamond, as Shakib might have thought before leaving home in anger.
