Ghanaian dancehall and Afropop singer Mz Vee has tapped Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage in 'Coming Home'

The track highlights the processes involved in settling down with a partner within the African setting.

In a statement, Mz Vee said “Coming Home talks about how in African tradition, when we find our partners and before the relationship can move on to the next level, we have to come home with our partners to see our folks for blessings. So in this song we are basically letting our folks know we have found a life partner and we are bringing the person home to receive their blessings.”

This serves as a sequel to MzVee’s 2018 release “Come and See My Moda” featuring Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade where she instructed all her suitors to go see her mother to make their relationship official and make their intentions clear.

Initially linking up via Instagram, this is what Mz Vee says on working alongside legend Tiwa Savage,

“Growing up in West Africa, Tiwa Savage is one of the top female artists I looked up to and so getting an opportunity to work with her means a lot to me. It was also a learning opportunity when it comes to my craft that will elevate me on the next level of my career. And I also admire her stringent work ethic.”

She had taken a break from the industry in what she described as a time for rejuvenation and self-actualization. She recently won the “Best Music Video of the Year,” with her music video for “Baddest Boss” featuring Mugeez of R2Bees fame at the just ended VGMAs.
