Bahati is celebrating his 31st birthday and has asked his fans to give him a nickname.

The singer shared a cartoon of himself and his wife Diana Marua and captioned;

"In a few I will be Turning 31 Years Old... 22 :12 : 1992 was My Birthday!!!SO COMMENT AND GIVE ME A NEW NICK NAME AND LETS DROP MTOTO WA DIANA πŸ™‚."

Bahati has been nicknamed by fans 'Mtoto Wa Diana' due to the age difference between him and his wife.

Marua responded to Bahati's post saying he will always be her baby.

On October 20, musician Bahati says he and his partner Diana Marua will exchange vows.

The couple initially met at the music video shoot for Bahati's song "Mapenzi" seven years ago. He wanted former NTV anchor Tracy Wanjiru to appear in it at the time, but he was unable to get in touch with her. As a result, he emailed Diana Marua, who had liked the majority of his Instagram postings.

"HOW I MET MY WIFE ❀️🌷🀩 I had Written My First Love song as a Gospel Artist and the Girl I wanted to appear on the video Declined my offerπŸ₯Ί; that was the Former NTV Teens Republic host Tracy Wanjiru... I think she was the only beautiful girl I knew then manze sikua na ConnectionsπŸ˜ƒ," he wrote on Instagram.

"Later I remembered of a Queen who had liked a Picture of mine on Instagram. I had never met her, I reached out to @Diana_Marua just like any other Video Vixen Little Did I know that I was Looking at My Wife to be 😍 I had shot Many Music videos before but God used this specific Shoot to Connect me to my Soul Mate ❀️"

He went on to thank the ex-NTV host for saying no to his request.
