As of the 19th of April, the confirmed coronavirus cases in Africa are at 21,990 with 5,482 recovered cases and 1,120 deaths.
Chioma, Davido's wife falls under the recovered cases. This is some good news and Davido could not keep calm and announced to his followers the good news.
"Glory be to God. Chioma has now tested negative twice for COVID-19. Thank you all for prayers. We love you." Davido posted
Davido announced on the 27th of March that Chioma, his fiancée was in London with their baby and despite feeling perfectly okay, they went to get tested and she is the only one who tested positive.
“Hey everyone! I came back recently from America after postponing my tour. My fianceé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history, we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, my fiancée’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby.” Davido posted
He went on to say that she is in quarantine, and to take precautionary measures, the rest of them are in full self-isolation for the next 14 days.
Now she is home with him and their daughter who as the singer had mentioned had been keeping strong for their mother.
A recovery case is good news and we are glad she is home.
