And Lupita couldn't contain her excitement as she heard her name mentioned in Beyonce's new song, Brown Skin Girl.
The 36-year-old took to Instagram to showcase herself singing along to the track.
'Brown Skin Girl. Thank you @Beyonce for this Gift!! #BrightnessIsJustWhoYouAre,' she wrote.
Lupita playfully danced along to Brown Skin Girl, and once she heard her name mentioned, she let out a huge squeal.
The Oscar-winner looked beautiful in a regal-style robe and glamorous earrings.
Brown Skin Girl is a track off Beyonce's Lion King: The Gift album.
The record features an entire track list of original music, performed by artists such as Child Gambino, Kendrick Lamar Pharrell and others.
The line that specifically called out Lupita is as follows; 'Pretty like Lupita when the cameras close in.'
Brown Skin Girl also features Beyonce's seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter on the track.
The entire album, though, is separate from the film's original soundtrack. Lion King; The Gift, is essential, 'a love letter to Africa,' said Beyonce, according to iTunes.
Beyonce voices lead character Nala in The Lion King remake, out now.
