The singer has previously worked with Sauti Sol in major projects like Rewind, a song the award-winning group featured rapper Khaligraph Jones.
He told Kiss100.co.ke in an exclusive interview that;
I'm currently working with Sauti Sol, producing for the Sol generation signees' projects. I worked on Lucy and Favourite song by Bensoul.
Adding that;
Apart from that, I co-composed the song Rewind of Sauti Sol and Khaligraph Jones. Most of their projects we've done are unreleased.
He says his 10-track album Dive In was born after he decided to fight his everyday fears
Dive In is a metaphor for individuals to just get deeper into whatever they are doing. It's named after one of the songs in the album. I want my music to inspire people and get people to be less afraid because I've been afraid for a long time because I didn't think I'm the best singer, but I'm taking this leap of faith.
This year has been great for Mutoriah after he was featured as the breakthrough producer in Coke Studio.
That was huge. It was really nice working with people who know what they are really doing and having such a huge reach was really empowering. That is how I decided to do what I was afraid to do: combining an album.
Mutoriah has collaborated with Bensoul, Ayrosh, Xenia Manasseh, Step Kapela, Tha movement among others in some of the songs in his album.
Mutoriah's songs will be on Songa By Safaricom.
My songs will be exclusively on songa on Saturday when I will be debuting this album
