Nick Cannon looked like a character straight out of the video game Mortal Kombat when he posed up a storm at the MTV Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 38-year-old modeled a Louis Vuitton muzzle and a matching piece of sleeveless armor to the star-studded event.

In one dazzling snapshot to remember, the ex-husband of  threw his arms wide open in a gesture of victory.

Nick wore a simple red tank top beneath his armor, allowing the dashing comedian to show off his toned arms and several tattoos.

Stringing on a couple of massive necklaces, Nick also saluted in one photo and in another held his hands together in prayer.

He accentuated the look with red shades and rounded off his ensemble with pale pink sweats and Louis Vuitton sneakers.

The former America's Got Talent host could be spotted on the red carpet mingling with DJ D-Wrek, who wore a tee with his name on it.

The MTV Movie Awards are known for their outrageous moments.

So the irreverent celebration of cinema made sure it was primed for excitement with Shazam! star Zachary Levi as host of the event held at Santa Monica's Barker Hanger Monday.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is being honored with the Generation Award for his iconic roles.

Jada Pinkett Smith will be bestowed with the evening's Trailblazer Award.

Avengers: Endgame and the Ruth Bader Ginsburg doc RGB both topped the nominations, earning four a piece.

Meanwhile Captain Marvel, To All The Boys I've Loved before and Us came in close second place with three nods each.

Among the honorable two-nominee mentions:  Bird Box, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Rich Asians, Shazam!, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and A Star Is Born.

This year several blockbusters will face off in a battle for Best Musical Moment.

While A Star is Born's Shallow is a clear favorite, Bohemian Rhapsody's Live Aid Concert is also a strong contender.

Also among the Musical Moment noms: Captain Marvel's fight scene backed by No Doubt's Just a Girl, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Masquerade, On My Block's Look at that Butt, Riverdale's Seventeen, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse's Sunflower and the rousing rendition of I Think We're Alone Now from The Umbrella Academy.

Musical acts will included the dynamic Lizzo and rapper/singer Bazzi.

The awards show boasts a star-packed cast of presenters, which include Child's Play star Aubrey Plaza, Handmaid's Tale Elisabeth Moss, comic genius Tiffany Haddish and many more.
