On the drive show with Mwalimu Rachel and Xclusive, they talked about the trending video of a 19-year-old boy assaulting a police officer at Mirema.
“Now there is this video that went viral of a teen, area ya Mirema ambapo alionekana akiwa anamtoa vumbi traffic police Fulani, yani alikuwa anamkunguta, yani alikuwa anamtandika,” Xclusive said.
According to Mwalimu Rachel, people really have the guts to physically assault a police officer without having second thoughts that it might land them into big trouble.
Mwalimu Rachel said that she even thought it was one of those pranks that people pull out on the streets.
Later she came to discover it was something serious.
“I swear mimi nilikuwa naona ni prank,” Mwalimu Rachel said.
According to Xclusive, the police officer is now admitted to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he is receiving further medical attention.
“So what happened is kulikuwa na obstruction za gari kwa barabara and when this police alienda kusimamisha akaingia kwa hio gari ambayo ilikuwa imepiga U-turn then that guy akaenda ikafika pahali ni kama akagonga a curve,”Xclusive explained.
“Akakwa na gari so akamua kutoa, apparently according to the police which is yet to be verified, the driver akatoa kisu so the police jumped out, huyu driver sasa akamfuata, huyu mwenye tunaona huyu.”
Mwalimu Rachel was surprised that the 19-year-old was the one driving the car which seems so rare for people his age.
“Many people went out and I saw politicians the like of kina Mike Sonko and people were mad and they were saying listen, this kid has to be taught a lesson and apparently ameshikwa, alikuwa amejificha kwa nyumba ya girlfriend,” Xclusive explained.
The man has now been identified as Ian Njoroge and he was even presented in court today.
