Cardi B came is one of the best female rappers now and she has taken the music industry by storm after claiming the top position at Billboard Hot 100 chart on Hot R&B/Hip Hop song in August 2017 with her song 'Bodak Yellow'. She made history by being the first female rapper to claim the position, that was held by female rapper Lauryn Hill with the song 'Doo Wop (That Thing)' in 1998.
The former stripper won herself five awards in the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, out of the nine nominations she bagged. Remember she was up against industry big wigs indicating to us her music has been widely accepted. The categories she was nominated in include 'single of the year', 'new hip hop artist'.
