We have very clever phrases that only us know what they mean until they are used against us.

This morning, Kamene and Jalas decided to take a look at some of the trending Kenyan phrases courtesy of @Kenyandictionary and what they mean and I promise you, if they don't leave you on the floor then go get your sense of humor checked!

Some of these phrases include;

1. Ndio huyu mimi nakam – It means the person has not even showered and will derail you.

 

2. I think I need space – Means I already have somebody new and if it doesn’t work I might come back.

 

3. Covid ikiisha nitakam – There are high chances of Arsenal winning the league than this happening.

 

4. Mum amekusalimia – It is a lie used in a relationship to make your partner feel special.

5. Si pole bas – When all types of apologies aren’t working and you are out of ideas.

6. Baby gurl – A Kenyan woman who wants nothing but a princess treatment.
