Popular American rapper Young Thug, though currently still behind bars on RICO charges, still found a way to be at Hot 97's Summer Jam and thank his fans for their support during an uncertain time.

Young Thug sent a chilled yet uplifting message from prison directly to the Met Life Stadium where he urged fans and the public at large to not only help fuel but also support the Protect Black Art initiative, a law that if passed could prevent prosecutors from using rappers' lyrics in court against them.

The rapper somehow found a way to send an audio recording which was played at the concert with a photo of Thug behind the recording

“I just want to say thank you to all of my friends and my family for coming out and supporting us, you know, your support during this time means a lot to us, ya know.” Thug's message began.

"You know, this isn’t just about me or YSL, I always use my music as a form of artistic expression, and now I see that Black artists and rappers don’t have that, you know, freedom,” he continued.

“Everybody please sign the ‘Protect Black Art’ petition and keep praying for us. I love you all.” Thug finished off his message.

Fans were beyond ecstatic upon seeing the message.

Team YSL has been getting plenty of support from  other celebrity rappers and A-listers like Drake, Lil Baby, and Meek Mill being the latest to join arms in support.

Meek Mill took time mid  his Summer Jam set to double down Protect Black Art support.

Thug has was named the chief suspect of the Georgia RICO case where he, his brother, fellow rapper Gunna and 25 other members of the YSL gang were arrested and  will probably be locked up until at least 2023.

Rapper Young Thug was arrested on the 10th of May in Atlanta on charges of participating in street gang activity and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) act.

The rapper is being accused of giving permission to YSL members to murder YFN Lucci while he was in prison in Fulton county.

While serving his jail time, Lucci  claimed that he was stabbed while in jail and that he feared for his life.

Young Thug and Lucci have had beef dating from way back in 2017.
