Lang'ata, Member of Parliament, Phelix Odiwuor, alias Jalang'o, is on the move to make sure his leadership counts as he employs every tool he can access.
It's no longer a typical Tuesday for the businessmen in Langa'ta, courtesy of the new 'Lang'ata Tuesday' initiative.
'Lang'ata Tuesdays' is basically a market day, where Jalas will be advertising the businesses in Lang'ata on all his socials.
"Do you run a business in Langata? Every Tuesday I will be running FREE advertising for businesses in Langata on all my socials! DM the business posters or a reel for posting! Share the location of the business and contacts! Let's grow together!" he wrote.
The businesses are up and running on his pages ranging from sneaker customization to furniture and tours.
Lang'ata Tuesdays is a one-of-a-kind opportunity as the media personality has 2.7Million followers on Instagram, 681.9K followers on Twitter, and 1.3 million total followers.
A quick google search shows a business shoutout on Instagram from someone who has 1M+ followers is worth Ksh180,750.
Netizens were excited as some commended the strategy and others asked if there was a relocation opportunity to Lang'ata.
