Citizen TV news anchor Trevor Ombija is on the receiving end after it emerged that his restaurant is among those listed for Noise pollution in Kilimani, Nairobi.

The anchor owns Samaki Samaki – a restaurant specialized in preparing seafood.

The TV Personality has been embroiled in a war of words with Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai who brought up the issue.

Defending his hustle, Trevor asked Nairobi County not to close down clubs and restaurants because of complaints from a few people.

He went on to say that he had offered to soundproof a house of one of his neighbour's after she complained of noise pollution.

“I have a neighbour who wanted us to shut down because I did not give her a landscaping job. We reduced our volume completely all other neighbours were ok with our attempts, except her so I offered to go the extra mile of soundproofing as a last resort she still refused.

“In your list, there is a Christian guest house that does not even have a liquor license. There are genuine complaints that must be addressed but there are also malicious accusations that must be called out. One person's word cannot be used for blanket condemnation,” Trevor Ombja explained himself.

Alai fired back at Ombija accusing him of noise pollution in the residential area.

“If you want to see the madness in the entertainment industry in this country, see this. The owner of a noisy entertainment joint in Kileleshwa offering to soundproof homes. Do we still have people with brains around? We show you a lease? Sit down fool!

The MCA added; “You need to sit down brother. I ask to speak to Vanice who is the legitimate owner.  You don’t have the wisdom or even basic understanding of the problem here. Rush Vanice here. She might be better,”.

Kenyan On Twitter (KOT) joined the conversation, many lecturing Ombija over his soundproofing idea.
