Omanyala is set to represent the National Police Service in future track events

It's a day for celebration as 2,881 constables among them Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala graduate from the National Police College in Kiganjo.

The recruits successfully finished the Basic Police Training Course that includes Human Rights, Community Policing, Public Order Management, Skills at Arms and Countering Violent Extremism.

The graduation ceremony is being presided over by President William Ruto.

Omanyala's wife, Laventa Amutavi took to her socials to thank God for the honor as she asked Him for more blessings.

"Celebrating what God has done for you hun. God has been faithful, just witnessing this supernatural manifestation fills my heart with joy and thanksgiving.

Congratulations and cheers to more blessings," Lavesh wrote.

A statement from the National Police Service indicates that the recruits have successfully completed the nine-month Basic Police Training Course.

"They were taken through various subjects including Human Rights, Community Policing, Public Order Management, Skills at Arms and Countering Violent Extremism," reads the statement.

The College trains its staff to the highest possible standards of competence and integrity and to respect human right and dignity as provided for under Article 244 (d) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

The sprinter joined the police college 2 years ago.

Announcing his recruitment to the service the National Police Service announced that Omanyala would be representing the National Police Service in future track events.
