Comedian Eric Omondi has allegedly been arrested while headed to State House with a Mkokoteni full of CVs.

Omondi was arrested along Uhuru Highway before being bundled into a police vehicle.

The funnyman was honouring his own promise of matching to State House to deliver CVs of jobless Kenyans to President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

A few weeks ago, Omondi promised to storm the State House – asking Kenyans to service him with their CVs.

On February 22, Omondi said;

“When it comes to the matter of livelihood, we are all in this. This fight is worth fighting for and I want to say, as Eric Omondi if need be, it’s a fight that is worth dying for. If that is where it will end, I will thank my God.

“If my life will be the reason the voice of the voiceless was heard so be it. I am saying this because from now we are not stopping.

“I suspect that the President of this Nation doesn’t know what Kenyans are going through,” Omondi said.

He had just been released from Police custody after appearing at the Milimani Law Courts for leading protests among other charges.

On March 1st, 2023, Omondi was again arrested while preparing to distribute free Unga to a section of Nairobians at City Stadium.

Omondi had called upon well-wishers to donate Unga towards his initiative of feeding Nairobians struggling to put food on the table.

This is the fourth time the comedian is being arrested.
