Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale opens up on working with the iconic Beyonce

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr popularly knowns as Shatta Wale is opening up about the experience of working with multiple Grammy award-winning American star Beyonce.

Shatta was speaking to a multitude of online media at the airport once he landed in Kenya where he disclosed that Beyonce was really the queen everyone pictured her to be.

The Ghanaian has done quite a number of Collaboration music with Beyonce, but the one with the highest number of views is “ALREADY” which was released 2 years ago for the new Lion King movie soundtrack.

Shatta was featured by Beyonce alongside Major Lazer and their song has since then amassed over 60 million views on YouTube.

“I think Beyonce is one of the biggest queens in the music industry and I think her putting me on the track… that really gave me the leverage to hold a lot of avenues in life. So I think that was one of the greatest opportunities in my music career.” Shatta said emphasizing how the collabo helped him realize his potential and get more opportunities.

The artist is currently in Kenya for what he terms as a business trip but he told the multitude of online bloggers who were at he airport while he landed that he was open to many other things including music collaborations while in the country.

While speaking to the online bloggers he also promised that he might work with a couple of Kenyan artists and maybe get to see if they can do a music collaboration if he gets time. All while insisting that he's here for business.

He said that he decided to tour Kenya because he loves the vibe that Kenyans have and the whole country as large. Upon arrival the artist was spotted with Aggrey Sayi, the Odibets country marketing manager.

Upon further digging, Kiss FM journalist Dennis Milimo established that the dance-hall artist has been brought to Kenya by mad fun travels.
