Kenya Railways has become the latest government institution to announce a system hitch- affecting the purchase of tickets.
In an official statement shared on their Twitter, Kenya Railways said;
“We are experiencing a system hitch affecting the purchase of tickets by customers. This is due to an outage on our service provider's network.
“We are working with the service provider to restore normalcy as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,”.
The corporation said it was working to restore normalcy.
It also apologised to its customers for any inconveniences caused by the hitch.
Earlier, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) also said it was experiencing a hitch caused by a network breakdown.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs said that Kenya-bound passengers will be granted VISAs upon their arrival in the country owing to difficulties in processing the Passport endorsements on the e-Citizen platform.
This follows the confirmation of a cyber-attack on the e-Citizen platform by ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
"There is currently a challenge in the Government e-Citizen platform, which is impacting processing of e-visa," the ministry said in a statement.
