American rapper Cardi B is currently a trending topic after throwing a microphone at a fan who threw a drink at her while on stage.
The video, which went viral on social media on Saturday, shows the performer being stunned when someone in the audience throws a drink from a cup at her as she is performing.
Cardi B responds by hurling the microphone back at the person while appearing to be angry at them. The rapper's account retweeted the video following the event.
While this isn't the first time an artist has been hit by objects thrown at them while performing, most have been spotted walking off the stage rather than striking back.
Throughout the years, musicians have experienced similar situations, but there has recently been an increase in them being assaulted onstage.
