Entrepreneur and lifestyle/fashion enthusiast Michelle Ntalami has announced that she has officially quit alcohol... a move she has been dying to make for a long while.
The Marini Naturals CEO took to her official Instagram account to share with her fans details of her sobriety journey and how she finally arrived at the decision.
According to the entrepreneur, she has gone 30 days without alcohol and is loving it so far!
"30 days without alcohol.đŠ" started off the natural hair enthusiasts.
She went on to give thanks to God noting that she wouldn't have been able to stick to her sobriety were it not for Him.
Michelle went on to maintain her decision was based on personal reasons and not a battle with alcoholism.
"Many roads have led me to this place. I could not have done it without God, and I am so grateful to Him for bringing me here. A beautiful story for another day.â„ïž
I contemplated stopping alcohol for a while. To be clear, there was never any struggle or addiction to begin with, I simply felt that it wasnât serving me anymore," Ntalami wrote.
The global trotting social media personality went on to highlight some of the reasons that pushed her to choose to quit alcohol, noting aspects of her life that were greatly affected.
"For one, the places, spaces, and people Iâd take it with would most times leave me feeling more empty and drained, than happy and fulfilled, especially and ironically, during the tough times of my life.
I needed to make space for better things.
Secondly, I was always the type to âhandle my liquor.â But just because you do, doesnât mean others will and if youâre like me, you get tired (and hurt) of all the drama or things people said and did to you when they were on alcohol," the entrepreneur lamented.
Finishing up she went on to list all the beautiful and positive effects that have been streaming in her life ever since she quit drinking.
"What has changed for the better since then?
Clarity of mind,
better holistic health,
better sleep,
waking up fresh on weekends,
more money saved,
more energy,
clearer skin,
fuller hair,
a drama-free life,
more meaningful connections and conversations and above all,
peace of mind, body and soul
"We talk and flaunt the good habits we pick up but letâs also be honest enough to share about dropping the habits that are not serving us.
Thereâs folks out there who need that message and encouragement to do the same.
For anyone whoâs taken the step to choose better for themselves in any way, or even thinking of doing so, I am proud of you.
They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, I am loving this new habit, and I intend to keep it this way forever, so help me God.
In the meantime, I am enjoying all the âlooking younger and glowing skinâ compliments Iâve been getting. đ„° Cheers to sobriety no pun.đŠđ„," the last of her post read.
