On Wednesday, all roads led to Movepick Hotel in Westlands for the officially launch of the newest drama series in town dubbed Pink Ladies.

In the invites only-event was graced by the Pink Ladies cast and crew among them; Shix Kapienga as Trizah, Azziad Nasenya (Cecilia), Dorea Chege (Anne), Brenda Gesare (Stephanie) and Pascal Tokodi (Charlie), The series will be airing on and it will be on Startimes’s Rembo TV.

Several other celebrities also showed up to support the Pink Ladies cast on their new venture.

 

Among those who were present include; Director Phillip Karanja, actress Jackie Vike, Dr fweneke, Comedian Mulamwah, Eddie Butita, YY comedian among others.

Those present at the launch got the chance to interact with their favorite local actors.

At the same time guests at the party were welcomed with a red carpet and had an exclusive screening of the trailer of the series.

 

Speaking, Shix Kapienga (Trizah) who will play a tomboy disinterested in relationships but focused on her career said that the drama series is one of the kinds and Kenyan should fully support it.

 “This is the best drama series in the Country and we are looking forward for more in future, “she said.

Dorea Chege on her part noted that the creative industry in the Country is continuously growing.

She said the sector has far employed thousands of youths who are passionate about art and theatre.

Jimmy Carter - StarTimes Media Chief Executive Officer announced that they have injected an additional $2 million (Ksh. 300 Million) into the development of local content.

He said the company has decided to bolster its investment in local content and as a result, their total investment in Kenyan content has now exceeded $5.5 million.

"The launch of Pink Ladies drama series is a clear testament that we are committed to partnering with local film producers in the country. Among the celebrities who attended the event includes Eddie Butita, YY comedian, Mulamwah, Awinja, Philip Karanja, known as Phil Director among others.
