Alpha Mwana Mtule, a gospel singer, is fighting for his life at Kenya National Hospital, weeks after allegedly being poisoned in Ongata Rongai.
In an update, Mtule asks for financial assistance in order to pay a mounting hospital bill.
He is seeking well-wishers to assist him in paying a cost of more than Sh300 000 in order to continue receiving treatment at the institution.
The singer is currently in serious condition, unable to speak or walk on his own.
“Mwana Mtule has been admitted for three weeks now and he needs our help. Financial help and there is a paybill 891300, Account number 82998 that we can use to help him.
The bill now is at Sh393, 524 and he is calling on his friends and fans to help him. Let's come together for him,” Comedian 2 Mbili said after visiting Mwana Mtule in Hospital.
At the same time, Mwana Mtule’s wife Celestine,
“The situation here is getting worse because treatment is being stopped because of the huge bill. Where we are now they want the bill to be reduced every time and it's not supposed to go above Sh100K but as you can see our bill is at Sh393, 524,” she said.
“So I’m here to appeal to friends of Alpha, he has so many friends, please stand with him. There are people he even did a collabo with, why can’t you stand with him?
“I remember when they said RIP Alpha, a lot of people reacted but now that he is alive; they are nowhere to be seen. My request is to Kenyans; kindly help us settle the bill for Alpha,”.
“Let's come together and help Mwana Mtule,” comedian 2Mbili said in a video where he had visited the singer in Hospital.
According to Mtule’s wife, the YY comedian paid the singer’s admission fee to KNH after contributing Sh50, 000.
