Veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli is dead aged 60. Kasavuli was the first female Kenyan news anchor to grace our screens.

Her death was announced by KBC Ag. Managing Director Samuel Maina. 

"Good morning, we lost Catherine Kasavuli last night," he told KBC staff.

She succumbed to cancer.

Celebrities have taken to social media to pay their tributes as they condole with her family.
