It is a good day here at Kiss studios after one of our very own shows got nominated for the Afrika Mashariki Transport Awards!
And we're more than confident that we are bringing the award home.
The Morning Kiss Show hosted by Kamene and Obinna got nominated for the AMTA awards under the category, Radio Drive Show of the year! And the excitement is real!
But its not that big of a surprise I mean Kamene and Obinna are such a dynamic duo and they do keep us up to date on travels and traffic and all things roads when the occasion calls for it.
A statement from Afrika Mashariki Transport awards said, "This Award is open to radio stations that provide much needed precautionary information on the happenings on our roads including but not limited to road incidents, accidents, road maintenance, closures and other activities affecting road users."
Adding, "The show must be one that not only has a wide reach but also provides accurate, on-time, relevant and as much information as possible to the listeners/ road users."
For Kiss 100 to emerge victorious it has to weather up against other shows from its sister stations.
The shows include; Maina and King'ang'i - Classic 105, Gidi & Ghost - Radio Jambo, and Boyz Club - Homeboyz Radio.
Other nominees include Jambo Kenya, Morning fix, Takeover and Maisha Asubuhi.
The award gala is scheduled to take place on July 15th and the big winners will be determined based on votes by the public.
