Obinna and Kamene

The road conditions in Nairobi are beyond terrible.

Almost every corner is in such a critical state that makes one wonders if they're indeed in the capital city.

On today's breakfast show Kamene and Obinna went on a rant about this. Starting the complaints with Church road as a reference.

There's a place along the road that's so terrible it's as if it's a cliff. There's a huge porthole filled with water in the middle of the road and the sidewalk along the road also seems to have given way.

Probably eaten away by the filling water on the porthole.

Kamene went on to explain how every morning she holds her breath driving through there hoping she doesn't hurt her car. Although she's had some instances that made her almost cry.

"I'm manoeuvring slowly then I hear the bottom of my car being grazed.... ggrrr.... and then it enters water, all of my sensors go crazy because the car is in the dam," Kamene said with disappointment.

According to Obinna, it's ironic considering this is a small and sort of private road. However, there are portholes along Waiyaki Way, especially towards Westlands.

"There's a time I took someone to the hospital at night... an Indian dude hit a porthole.... then the curb on the side and started bleeding,"  Obinna said.

Kamene went on a rant, just like many Kenyans she can't understand how our roads are in such terrible states and people are still collecting their salaries while doing nothing about our plight.
