If you thought the Johnny Depp vs ex wife Amber Heard fiasco was done then you thought wrong.

Following Amber’s decision to petition the court for a new hearing or to have the original verdict tossed away, Johnny has broken his silence on the matter.

Well now Johnny Depp is scoffing at Amber Heard's move to set aside his jury verdict on one of Amber's team, highlighted grounds citing  that it was excessive.

Depp insisted that the $10 million judgment out-rightly reflects the loss he actually suffered after his ex-wife defamed him

Johnny's lawyers argued that there's clear evidence that after Amber's Op-Ed appeared in the Washington Post back in 2018, Depp had no work.

Highlighting that apparently, Johnny  did not appear in a single studio production up until October, 2020 emphasizing that, that alone supports the $10M verdict.

After the Op-Ed, Johnny was persona non grata on the production. The lawyers say Johnny proved with experts during the trial his actual loss came to far more than $10M claiming it was more than $40 million.

Johnny's lawyers are ready to put up a fight and insist that Amber is grasping at straws.

Well, true to Amber Heard’s words, a month after a ruling was made in regards to her case with ex husband Johnny Depp the actress together with her legal team have filed documents petitioning the court to toss out its verdict in the Virginia defamation case or order for a new trial.

Heard's legal team is contesting the ruling, and presented their arguments in three folds.

They first argued that Johnny Depp’s team failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove that Amber's op-ed actually did cost Depp any roles, emphasizing the fact that Heard never even named Depp in her op-ed.

And they also cited with utmost concern that one of the jurors wasn’t who they claimed to be.

However Depp's team fired back saying that Amber could have objected at the beginning of the trial but didn't, so it's tough luck for her.
