Iconic singer, Innocent Idibia popularly referred to by his stage name 2face Idibia or 2Baba's popular Nigerian music executive and manager Efe Omorogbe, has come out to debunk rumors of the star cheated on his wife and fathered a 6th child outside their union.
The singer’s management insisted that there was no hidden meaning in 2face's apology post, denouncing claims that the artist had impregnated a certain banker.
Efe described the reports that the singer is expecting a baby from another woman as mere rumors
He wrote, “it's understandable for fans, friends, and concerned members of the public to get curious and seek to know why @official2baba posted an apology to his wife @annieidibia, family, and management a few days ago,
we would like to put it on record that the ‘why’ is exactly what was explicitly spelled out in the same post – the pressure of almost a quarter of a century of superstardom, and a wish to focus on making music without the burden of high expectations as a role model." Part of his post read.
Efe went on to add, “reports of him getting anyone pregnant are false and malicious and we urge well-meaning media platforms and members of the public to completely disregard such. It is fake news.”
2Baba came under fire after reports made rounds on social media implying that he might have impregnated another lady following his latest apology to his wife and family after the musician wrote a public apology to his wife, Annie Idibia, for hurting her for the well the hundredth time.
Sharing a video of Annie in bed on his Instagram page, 2face Idibia wrote “Forever Grateful go u @annieidibia1 Love u till I die…U kind is rare #GRATEFUL to u forever. Sorry, I messed it all up.”
In another lengthy post, he apologized for all the embarrassment he has caused his wife, kids, mother, his other families out of wedlock and his management.
" This is no stunt I'm sorry for all the embarrassment I've caused my wife, my kids, my mother and all our families and my management team. I'm not looking for no sympathy I'm not trying to make myself look good This is no reverse psychology bullshit.
I have no excuses I just want to do right by my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends." 2face wrote.
Trending rumors allege that the 'African Queen' hit-maker is expecting his 8th child with a different baby mama, a banker hence his public apology to his wife.
Speaking about their relationship, his wife Annie confirmed that her husband did indeed cheat on her with several other women.
The mother of two shared that she was there before the fame and fortune but she was not the first to bare his children.
In fact, she wasn’t the second either.
“My first child is his fifth and I met him before everybody. So, you know what that is?” she said on the reality show, Young Rich and African.
