Following Apple Music releasing the hottest top 100 songs the country got thrown into shock by how Kenyan artists were lacking on the list.

However, Sauti Sol's Bien and his work were notably on the list, helping us save face a little.

Following the news, comedian YY took to his Instagram to congratulate Bien and ask other artists to study him to be able to discern what the artist is doing and how to fill his shoes.

"The fact that Bien is in that list should also communicate something.... It is a very good case study on why him" YY posted on his Instagram stories.

He later on went to add, " Bien ni wale machopi hudanganya wengine walale exam ikikam ako top 3"

Eric Omondi could not miss the opportunity to throw shade as he occasionally does.

He seems to have an issue with the music industry especially Sauti Sol's Bien and rapper Khaligraph Jones.

Posting a photo of Bien in his Instagram page, Eric dived into a rant.

"So Apple Music released the Top 100 Songs in Kenya and only two are Kenyan and both belong to this guy!!!" Omondi started his attack.

He went on to add that Bien was gatekeeping success and that is why he was super " bitter" with Eric's remarks.

"Let me explain to you why Bien is the only Kenyan on this list. He understands showbiz and he knows what the people want but he doesn't want others to get to where he is and that's why he fights my course so bitterly and passionately." Eric added.

He emphasized that Bien knew he was right no matter how badly he disagreed with the comedian.

"Enyewe Witchcraft manifests in different forms. While Bien disagrees with me, he knows am right and is implementing the same things he is disagreeing with. Kama hio sio uchawi na roho chafu then I don't know what is.

Bien is a book we must all study to fully Understand Ingenuity, Hardwork and Witchcraft."

Bien clearly triggered by the accusations had a few things to let off his chest.

He first off started by asking Eric Omondi where his skit that had set Kenya on the map was.

"Because where is your Netflix comedy special. Or whatever metric they use to measure success in comedy. You take out your steam on music while comedy is on its deathbed. Useless burukenge." Bien said calling out Eric.

Going ahead to reply to the post he clearly outlined that policies are the only thing that help the industry.

Noting that most of the artists in the list don't play into gimmicks and clout chasing antics.

" You’re an idiot. Honestly what are you even saying. 95% of the artists on that list are not doing gimmicks. They’re simply putting out songs. Show me a gimmick in my life.

When systems are made right everybody wins. STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELF LOOKING FOR LIKES IN THE NAME OF SHOWBIZ!!!!"
