Media personality and content creator Anita Nderu in a series of Instagram videos has revealed how the passing of South Africa's artist Costa Titch left her and her husband devastated.
In the video, Anita was recounting all the traumatic events that have happened over the weekend and how they rocked their little lives.
Anita highlighted that the saddest news over the weekend was Costa's death and the banking crisis that is going on in the USA.
"Okay so first up Costa Titch's death really, really broke me.... like it broke my heart deeply." Started off the new mom.
She went on to add how her husband is the one who had actually introduced her to the amazing Amapiano South African rapper and the loss had rocked them both.
"You know he is one of those artists.... you know those artists whose music is just a vibe and he is such a vibe.
Actually my husband is the one who introduced me to Costa Titch and his music, he also didn't know and when I went to tell him he was insanely shocked," Anita added.
The lovely media personality went on to condole with Costa's family, friends and fans as she prayed for his soul to find peace.
Anita Nderu finished off by adding, "What makes me even sadder is the fact that he was so young.... May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family, his friends, fans and the entire S.A family.
It is just really sad and I feel so bad for the South African music scene to have experienced such a huge blow.
Like first it was AKA then barely a month later Costa Titch and it is just yeah.... really sad news, that was really sad news out of this weekend."
South African rapper Costa Tsobanoglou alias Costa Titch passed away after collapsing on stage while performing.
The musician was reportedly pronounced dead at the venue of the event he was performing at. He was among the stars who were performing at the Ultra music festival on Saturday, 12 March 2023.
Costa, who is also a dancer, was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga in 1995 and is known for several hits and collaborations on his name.
In East Africa, he had worked with Mbosso and Diamond Platnumz recently.
In 2022 he was among the stars who performed at the SolFest – a concert organized by Sauti Sol.
The passing of Costa Titch comes as music fans are still mourning the loss of fellow rapper AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes.
He was shot outside of a restaurant in Durban by unknown hitmen and the South African Police Service (SAPS) is still investigating the case.
Interestingly, both Costa Titch and AKA have collaborated on a song called Super Soft.
