After months of gaslighting her fans, and fighting to dispel pregnancy rumours 23-year-old Hollywood star Halle Bailey and he rapper boyfriend DDG finally introduced their newborn to the world.
The news didn't come as a shock to many as fans had for months been suspecting, investigating and just doing the most to prove Halle was pregnant even though the couple tried being super sleek.
Plus her boyfriend DDG had broken the news back in April when he posted an ultrasound photo alongside the words, “Can’t wait to be your dad."
However, back then many assumed his tweet was a prank, given that he does play a lot and he shared it on April Fools' Day.
Although most are celebrating with the young celebrity couple, a multitude of their fans are still mad with comments such as "bluntzncrime: all that lying y'all did. lol," this one flooding the couple's socials.
So how did Halle and DDG manage to keep their little bun in the oven a secret? I'll give them props for trying, though no one is yet to take Kylie's spot when it comes to secret baby bumps... Riri did try too.
Tales of Halle being pregnant first sparked back in September at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, where she and her big sister Chloe Bailey served as presenters.
There were multiple reports that the singer-actor "stayed away from the pink carpet so she would not be photographed."
"When she was inside, she was very mindful in the way she gave hugs, and who she gave them to," Page Six reported.
Photoshop and editing came in handy as well. Remember when our very own Amber Ray edited out her baby bump for an Instagram post when she was expectant with Rapudo's seed? Well Halle and DDG been doing that.
That's why she looked totally not pregnant during the Halloween shoot they did.
However, fans were not fooled easily as some noticeable features such as Halle's pregnant nose (which she called people out for shaming her black features when they pointed it out...tsk tsk tsk) were threatening to sell her out.
Halle also capitalized on baggy loose-fitting clothes, keeping it stylish but drawing attention away from her belly. All in a bid to keep her pregnancy totally a secret until she was ready for the big reveal.

In a cute Instagram post introducing her child to the world, the 'Little Mermaid' star shared a photo of her gently holding their newborn child's tiny hand as the baby formed a fist.
A smitten Halle while captioning the photo noted that despite all the accolades she'd gathered her highlight of 2023 was falling pregnant and having her little boy.
"Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.," the 'Angel' hitmaker beautifully wrote as she showed off a gold bracelet on the baby's wrist that reads "HALO" the baby's name.
Knowing the frenzy the news was going to throw people at she went on to tell her little boy how everyone was so eager to meet him seeing as they had known she was paged even when she tried throwing hawk-eyed sleuths off the scent.
"Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️"
26-year-old DDG on his part wrote;
"My biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤️ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo,"
The couple has been dating for 2 years and Halle noted it's the first time she has been in love in love not the puppy love phase that people confuse for the real thing.
